Mr. Papian emphasized the current applicability of the Treaty of Sevres (10 August 1920) from International Law viewpoint and refuted the common public opinion about invalidity of this legal document. According to the Treaty of Sevres and the Arbitral Award of President Wilson, the current Armenian-Turkish border is invalid. The legal-valid western boundary of the Republic of Armenia includes 4 vilayets (Erzroum, Trapizon, Van and Bitlis) with free access to the Black Sea. The speaker presented also the human and material damages the Armenian Nation suffered during the Armenian Genocide in 1915-1923. The world-scattered Armenian nation and the whole civilized society of the world are still waiting for Turkey's answer: the Armenian Genocide must be recognized and the damages must be indemnified.
